Shurgard Self Storage - Ashford

I was a customer at this storage facility for many years and can highly recommend it because of the flexibility with the different sized units available, good access and fantastic staff. The storage will be able to meet most peoples needs, fairly easily. Easily accessible spaces that were always well maintained. The staff have always been extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the services available. Ultimately we've moved to another storage provider that better suited our personal circumstances but I happily recommend the Shurgard Self Storage service as a reliable and secure space.

Have used this facility in the past (different company) so naturally wanted to use them again. Staff friendly and helpful, facilities good. Couldn't give the full 5 stars as I'd reported a fault on the locker door during the 10 day period and had been promised it would be fixed and it wasn't. Staff apologized for the maintenance error.

The two young ladies, Sarah and Poppy were very professional, friendly and went above and beyond, letting me know about other products. It is such a wonderful experience every time. They make you feel welcome and satisfied with the service. I also admire their uniform.

After searching high and low, being confused about sizes, muddled with prices, (having never used storage facilities) I was just about ready to be defeated. That was up until I visited shurguard on a late Friday afternoon (01/08/25). I was greeted by "Dan" who was more than happy to help me, explaining everything clearly & professionally. He answered all my questions and concerns when it came to sizing/pricing. I didn't expect to come away that friday afternoon signing up for a storage unit. A week later (09/08/25) I moved my belongings into the storage unit. Again I was greeted by Dan, who was very helpful in showing me around, explaining everything clearly. Dan is a hard working professional who is very knowledgeable, it's because of him that I signed up for storage and would recommend shurguard to anyone. Dan made my experience easy and simple, he is a credit to the team. Thank you 😊

Though we were initially disappointed with the way our checkout was handled (we were told to give 15 days notice to vacate & gave notice the day our house move was confirmed but had to pay the entire next invoice as it had already been generated - so not 15 days notice, in our case it is 41 days). This small print is something to take note of when you sign the contract. Shurgard have since reached out to us and been incredibly reasonable in handling our complaint.
