StorageMart Brighton - Portslade

I left this storage unit after only 4 months or so. In my experience there was good initial customer service and it was a decent enough facility, other than when the lift was out of order, but after approx. 2 months they increased my rent by around 40%. Upon appeal they reduced that to around 20%, but the experience had already left me feeling like I had partnered with the wrong provider and so looked elsewhere and moved on. There are now plenty of local alternatives with more on the way, so I recommend that people regularly check that they are paying a competitive rate, especially when an increase is made. Please also be aware that this is one of the storage units that add insurance on top of your advertised rate, so either get your own (you'll pay less and get a better level of cover) or if your contents are low value, use a storage provider where it is not mandatory.
