StorageMart Brighton - Portslade

I have rented here one room to store my bike for 2 months and I found it convenient place and reasonable price and I definitely will consider to rent here again in the future as I live in nearby.

We needed storage as part of a closing down process. The secure processes at the facility were excellent but still allowed a colleague to do the drop off and I was able to do the retrieval. Unfortunately, the wrong keys were handed over! The staff member on duty, Kiain, was very understanding and able to give us options as to how to deal with this. In the end we had the lock cut off, a process that was quick and demonstrated the difficulty of breaking in to one of the easily purchased padlocks at the facility! They also operated the bay doors so we weren't having to put the key code in every time as it was a multiple trolley trip. Thnkfully, the trolleys on site were very big and made short work of the removal. I would recommend the facility and the staff.

The storage was excellent, staff very good and easy access. The cost is another matter. I was originally at Crowhurst Road, Brighton, they put the price up, I moved everything to Chapel Road, this was January 2024. It was £113 a month. After two months it went up to £153, from the start of 2026 it went up again to £173, I can’t afford that every month so have moved out. I know things increase in price but didn’t expect those sort of increases. They wont guarantee any fixed rate either, so very good storage but be prepared to pay.

My unit is great in quality and support. The admin is easy and ongoing support is excellent. Rob, the manager at Portslade / Chapel Rd is extremely helpful, prompt and efficient. Would thoroughly recommend.
